Position Overview: Responsible for performing imaging procedures such as CT and X-Rays with minimal supervision, supporting physicians and staff to meet patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
- Perform imaging exams following established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, and notify physicians of results.
- Assist with clinical procedures under physician or nurse direction.
- Maintain documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Collect laboratory samples, perform testing per protocols and regulations, and ensure supplies are stocked.
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance, quality control, proficiency testing, and record all activities for at least two years.
- Perform duties as an ER Technician as needed and travel between facility locations.
- Participate in staff meetings and perform additional assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED; AMA-approved Radiology Technology program graduation.
- Certified as a radiologic technologist and registered with ARRT in radiography; CT certification required within 12 months.
- Current BLS certification; minimum of 2 years imaging experience, with preferred experience in CT and ER.
- Proficiency with imaging hardware/software and PACS; fluent in English.
- For Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
